Incredible stories of the past
Steeped in history, the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary was once a favoured hunting ground of the Maharajah of Bikaner. Approximately 32 kilometres away from the city, the sanctuary served as an exclusive retreat for royal leisure and recreation. Furthermore, the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is among the designated locations planned for the reintroduction of cheetahs in India. This ambitious project aims to revive the population of these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, further adding to the sanctuary's significance.
