Located on the outskirts of Kausani, Pinnath is a sleepy village that hides a wave of adventure in its folds. A trek to Pinnath is a panacea for all city stress and is defined by the wilderness of nature punctuated only by the gentle murmur of the Kosi river flowing nearby. Another interesting stopover can be the Bhairon Temple, whose walls and doors are decorated with beautifully painted images of local kings and the Pandavas of the epic Mahabharata. The temple in itself is a sight to behold as it is nestled in the foothills of the Gopalkot Peak, overlooking Kosi valley. The village also hosts a grand fair annually in the month of October, which attracts a large number of visitors from the nearby villages and is an experience of a lifetime.
