Glenmorgan is an amazingly tranquil getaway in the region, just 20 km ahead of Avalanche Lake. It is the perfect setting for a family picnic or a quiet time, where one can just stroll and observe the undisturbed wildlife in their natural habitat. At one time, Glenmorgan was very popular for its tea estate. The rest house at Glenmorgan gives a panoramic view of the valley including the Moyar Valley and the Pykara powerhouse at the foot of a tea estate. There is also a trekking path one can take from Bangithapal via Sispara to the Silent Valley. You can also get a breathtaking view of the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, which houses avifauna like hornbills, minivets, fairy blue birds and jungle fowls, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
