Literally translating into a thousand, Sahastra waterfall is a glorious site that comprises several cascades. The gurgling waterfall on the tributary of the Godavari river, falls through a unique black rock pattern. If one sees this rock pattern through the prism of cascading waters, they can see it shining with a metallic hue. Visitors can enjoy the sight of the water falling from a height of about 30-40 ft while soaking in the serene sounds of the gushing water.

A small bridge about a kilometre away from the waterfalls makes for an interesting nature hike. The falls is worth a visit any time of the year. A beautiful garden, in close proximity to the falls, makes for a great picnic spot and one is likely to spot various species of butterflies fluttering by. Panchmukhi Mahadeo Temple standing close by is yet another attraction. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
