At an approximate distance of 5 km from the Sudh Mahadev Temple is a small cave associated with Goddess Parvati. The month of June is considered to be the most auspicious for a pilgrimage here when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshipped as Uma and Shankar. It is believed that Goddess Parvati used to worship the Swayambhu shivling after bathing in the Gauri Kund and meditate here. Today, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati stands where the spring was earlier situated. One can also find a naturally shaped rock that resembles Lord Ganesha. Another attractive site to visit near Gauri Kund is Patnitop, which is known for its beautiful landscapes and thrilling adventure activities. Some of these activities include parasailing, paragliding and hot air ballooning.
