How is it celebrated?
On this day, students and youngsters worship Goddess Saraswati, who is believed to bestow knowledge upon her devotees. She is considered the symbol of learning and musical and artistic skills. Ceremonies are organised all over the country, in which children are taught to write in front of the idol of the Goddess.
