The mesmeric and serene Lakhnavaram Lake is one of the most popular tourist sites in the area that is spread over an area of 10,000 acre. Surrounded by verdant hillocks and lush green forests, the lake hosts three small islands, which are connected by a unique suspension bridge. Tourists can cross this bridge and get sweeping views of the surroundings along with those of the pristine lake.

Moreover, tourists can explore the mini-islands located in the lake, about 13 pieces of land floating on the still surface of water. Mornings are the best time to visit the lake when the rays of the sun falling on the water surface make it glisten. The lake was built by the rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the 13th century. The best way to explore it is via boating. The shores of the lake make for great camping spots under starry night skies.
