One of the most prominent golf destinations in Kashmir, Pahalgam boasts a golf course with 18 holes that lies about 2,400 m above sea level. Nestled amidst snow-capped mountain peaks and lush forests, this golf course has a spectacular landscape. A long grassy stretch with different levels of elevation to create a dramatic game, it offers challenges that test the skill and patience of the players. To make the experience more rejuvenating, one can feel the cool breeze, passing through chinar and pine trees, on the face. The golf course was initially established in 1915 as a nine-hole golf course and the government holds many championships in this sprawling course. There is a popular deer park located at the end of the course that also invites visitors for its charm.
