They also offer metal replicas of the body parts of a limp boy once cured by the Lady of Health as a mark of respect. The church's architecture is Gothic and it has got an imposing facade with tall spires and wings that resemble the shape of a cross. There is a small museum attached to the church where visitors can see a variety of exhibits narrating the numerous miracles that took place at the site. Biblical stories too have been painted beautifully on the walls of the museum. Velankanni's most crowded season is between August and September when the church hosts the extremely popular annual Feast of Our Lady. It is a 10-day festival that starts on 29th of August.
