Day 1 Stop 1 - Nahan

In the low lying Shivalik hills, close to the plains, Nahan is the administrative headquarters of Sirmaur district. Foundations of the hill town were laid out by Raja Karam Prakash in 1621 A.D, whose ancestry is traced to Rajasthan. The rich heritage and culture of Nahan has temples, gardens, a palace and other important historical monuments scattered around town. An eyeful of Rajasthani, Pahari and colonial architecture of the town with cobbled paths, widened road and pretty gardens hold a lot of attraction for tourists. It enjoys pleasant weather for almost the entire year. The town was founded in 1621 by Raja Karma Prakash. The Delhi Gate (Lytton's memorial) is a landmark monument. It was built in memory of soldiers who died fighting during British rule. The hub of Nahan's activities is the Chaugan ground. Nahan is 133 km from Shimla and 84 km from Chandigarh.

Day 1 Stop 2 - Renuka ji

Renuka has a beautiful and sacred oval shaped lake. It is the largest natural lake in Himachal. It is named after Renuka. Fed by underwater springs, the lake has a circumference of 2.5 km. The shape resembles the profile of a reclining woman. The lake rests in a long valley and the surrounding woods are covered by a dense forest. It is best viewed from the hilltop above. The Renuka lake has temples and ghats. The Renuka temple is a peach coloured twin-dome. There is an idol of Renuka ji (Parshuram's mother). Next to the Renuka lake lies the Parshuram Tal, which is a much smaller lake. Renuka is 45 km from Nahan.
