Located on the outskirts of the city, at the border of Andro village, lies Santhei Natural Park, a popular picnic spot among locals and tourists. You can often see people sprawling in the emerald lushness of the park or enjoying a light family meal amidst picturesque surroundings. In a bid to conserve nature and encourage rational utilisation of natural resources, the villagers came forward to help create this park. The natives of Andro first built a reservoir at the foothills and then built the Santhei Natural Park around it. An artificial dam has been routed here to act as a water source for public consumption while also adding to the beauty of the place. Tourists can also visit the orchid farm near the park or shop for local handicrafts and pottery items made by the local artisans from the many shops that have sprung up around the park. The park can be visited during timings 6:00 am - 6:00 pm everyday. Early morning around 7:30 am is the recommended time to visit the park.
