An extension of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Western Ghats, the magnificent hill range of Jamboti is a great site to indulge in recreational activities like camping, trekking and hiking. Trekking through the verdant hills gives you an opportunity to witness majestic waterfalls like Varapoha Falls, Batwada Waterfall, Parwad Waterfall, Shimbola Waterfall and Sada Waterfall. Tourists can also visit the Jamboti village and experience the generous hospitality of the locals while exploring the rustic lifestyle of the villagers. To trek in the region, tourists need to obtain a written permission from the forest department. Climbing the hill top can be quite a task but the splendid views of Belgaum city visible from here, make it worth the effort. The Jamboti Hills also serve as the source of one of Goa's longest rivers, Mandovi.
