A trip from Bengaluru to Nandi Hills would be incomplete without a short visit to the popular Tipu's Drop, one of the most historic spots around the city. Perched atop a hill at an elevation of 600 m, this is the point from where prisoners, during the reign of Tipu Sultan (1750-1799), were pushed down as punishment for their evil doings.

The point offers splendid views of the surrounding hill ranges. Tourists can also visit the Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple, which lies nearby and belongs to the Chola period. Surrounded by verdant hills, the point serves as the perfect place to spend some quality leisure time cocooned in the arms of nature, away from the busy city life. Don’t forget to tote your camera as you are likely to come across impressive shots.
