ABOUT THE

Attraction

Located on the outskirts of Vijayawada city in Andhra Pradesh, the Undavalli caves date back to the 4th and 5th century BC and are a stunning example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Originally carved out of the hillside for Buddhist monks, they were most probably used for shelter. One spectacular four-storey cave temple resembles a Buddhist monastery with carvings which seem to refer to Buddhism.

Vijayawada is just 6 km away
