Attraction
The ancient site of Sugh or Shrughna in Amadalpur village near Jagadhari, Haryana, enjoyed considerable importance during historical times as mentioned in the early Buddhist text like Mahamayuri and Divyavadana. It is said that the foundation of Buddhism in the state was laid by Lord Buddha himself when he set foot in Sugh and delivered a sermon here. The circumference of an ancient mound discovered here is about 5 km and it is situated on the west bank of the Yamuna river flood-plains. Various artifacts related to Buddha has been excavated at this site.
The nearest prominent city is Yamunanagar, 8 km away.

Assandh
The place, though in the shadows of more famous Buddhist pilgrimage places, houses the ruins of a stupa.
Mindrolling Monastery
The Mindrolling monastery is considered to be one of the largest centres for Buddhist studies and culture preservation today. About 300 monks live and study here.
Prabhosa
Prabhosa, just one kilometre away from Kaushambi, in Uttar Pradesh was known as Mankula during ancient times and it is said that Buddha made it his sixth monsoon retreat after attaining nirvana.
