Lakshman Jhoola

LAKSHMAN JHOOLA

A famous landmark, Lakshman Jhoola is an iron suspension bridge over the holy Ganges, in Rishikesh. This 450 feet long bridge connects on it either edge Pauri district with Tehri district. As per legends, Lord Rama’s younger brother Lakshman, crossed river Ganges on a jute rope, the place is where the bridge is located today. Popular temples around Lakshman Jhoola are Trayambakeshwar Temple, Sachha Akhileshwar Mahadev Temple, Lakshman Temple, and Shri Raghunath ji’s Temple.
