Wankaner State was one of the princely states of India in the historical Halar region of Kathiawar. Wankaner City in Rajkot District is famous for the Ranjit Villas Palace. The sprawling Palace is perched atop the Gadhio Hills offers a splendid view of the surrounding vistas. It was built by Maharana Raj Shri Amar Singhji who was the last ruler of the Wankaner royal family. The place was built in Indo-Sarsenic or Indo-Gothic style of architecture in 1907. Its interiors with Italian marble, English stain glass, Burma teak antique furniture, marble fountains, Murano chandeliers and hand woven carpets will give a glimpse of royal living in the bygone era. It is at a distance of 60 kms from Rajkot.

Built in the 1920’s the Royal Oasis situated on the banks of the Machchhu Lake in Wankaner has stunning interiors done in the art deco style. The most unique part here is a 3 storied step well or vaav with exquisite stone carving and a fine marble sculpture fountain.
