Parvati Hill is one of Pune’s prime historical attractions. Rising to a height of 2,100 feet (640 m) above sea level, Parvati Hill is one of the most scenic locations in Pune. Atop the hill is the temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati (consort of Lord Shiva). The temple is the oldest heritage structure in Pune and was built during the rule of the Peshwa dynasty. It has 103 steps leading to the top of the hill where the temple is situated. Other temples on the hill are dedicated to Lord Devdeveshwar, Vitthal and Rukmini, Vishnu and Kartikeya.
