PALAMPUR

Palampur, at a height of 1219 metres, is a beautiful hill town in the main Kangra valley, surrounded on all sides by tea gardens, gurgling streams, pine trees and rhododendrons. Situated on the Manali-Pathankot road, Palampur is well connected with other cities and towns in Himachal Pradesh, by air (Gaggal), narrow gauge rail and bus services. Places of interest worth visiting in and around Palampur include Neugal Khad, the Bandla Stream, Andretta and Baijnath Temple (in the close-by town of Jogindernagar) and Chamunda Devi Temple.

With pine and deodar forests and tea gardens encircling the town, the Dhauladar mountain range towering over it and numerous streams pouring in, Palampur is known for the enchanting combination of mountains, water, forests, farms and meadows.

Gaggal Airport (Dharamshala) serves as the nearest airport to Mcleodganj.

RAIL

Pathankot is the nearest broad gauge railway station situated at a distance of 112 km from Palampur and it's takes 7 hours to reach there.

ROAD

There are regular buses from other major cities of the Himachal pradesh to Palampur and also to Delhi
