Nubra Valley is a few hours to the North of Leh; this is where the Shyok and Siachan rivers meet. The valley separates Ladakh from the Karakoram Ranges and the mighty Siachen Glacier. The valley is accessible through the world's highest motorable road : the Khardung La. Alongside the Nubra Valley lies the Sasser Pass and the famous Karakoram Pass which connects Nubra with Xinjiang, China. Travelling to Leh by train is not recommended. Also, the closest railway station is Jammu Tawi, 620 km away from Nubra. The other nearest station is Udhampur railway station, 298 km away from the same.
Regular bus services to Nubra Valley operate from places like Jammu Tawi, Srinagar, Leh etc.
