The Eeraveeswaram Mahadeva Temple is another famous temple in the locality. The Vasudevapuram Temple here is known for its mural paintings and for its rituals and performances like theeyattu, garudan parava and thookam that the Karikulangara Bhagavatheeswaram temple is famed for. There are remnants of a fort near the temple. The raised platform and the gaps in the walls stand testimony to the fact that the cannons were once fired from this fort.The Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom the a church is dedicated, is popularly known as Muthiamma here. St. Alphonsa, the nation's first woman saint was baptized in this church. One of the offerings here is the traditional water bag and rope, used to draw well water.
