  • Dhokla

    A fluffy, light snack made with a fermented gram flour and yogurt batter which is steamed, cut into square pieces, tempered with mustard seeds and topped with fresh coriander and grated coconut.

  • Doodhpak

    Rice pudding made by boiling rice with milk and sugar, and flavored with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews, pistachios, or almonds. It is typically served as a dessert.

  • Kadhi-Khichdi

    Yoghurt based tempered curry served with softened rice cooked with lentils and ghee (clarified butter).

  • Thepla

    Thepla is a lightly spiced Indian flat-bread made of wheat flour, gram flour, fenugreek leaves and mild spices and pan fried.

  • Undhiyu

    It is a signature winter dish of Gujarat, made of mixed vegetables including green beans, brinjal, potatoes, unripe banana, muthia (spiced and steamed gram flour dumplings) and purple yam. These are cooked in spices and coconut. It gets its name from the Gujarati word "undhu", which translates to upside down, since the dish is traditionally cooked upside down underground in earthen pots, which are fired from above.
