JASROTA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Occupying a small area of 3.75 sq. miles the sanctuary supports a large population of Chital, barking deer, wild boar and rhesus macaque. The sanctuary inhabitates many resident and migratory birds like pheasants, peafowl, red jungle fowl, jungle bush quail, green pigeon and blue rock pigeon and best time to visit for good bird sighting is March to May. To watch the fauna of the sanctuary one must visit the place from September to March
