Noorabad

NOORABAD

Noorabad was a small outpost that grew during Jahangir's reign and was named after his wife, Noorjehan. The village has a beautiful bridge from medieval times on the Sankh River with chhatris and minarets built by Aurangzeb in the 17th Century. This was the road used by armies from Delhi and Agra centuries ago on their march to conquer other regions, all the way down to the Deccan Plateau.
