One of the most important festivals of Ladakh, TakTok is celebrated in the cave gompa of TakTok. The highlight of the celebration is the dance of the lamas. Mask dances are also quite popular. Many cultural programmes are organised throughout the day, and a feast is set up in the evening. People dress up in ethnic clothes and observe religious practices.
