The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) organises this daily tour for interested tourists. The first stop is the house of the great freedom fighter, Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Known today as the Lokmanya Tilak Museum, it is located at Tilak wada. Tourists are then taken to Shaniwar wada, a well-known fort formerly used by Peshwa rulers. The palace where Chhatrapati Shivaji spent his childhood – Lal mahal – is next on the itinerary. You will also get to visit the cottage of social activist Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, followed by the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Chaturshringi Temple and Ambedkar Museum. Nature lovers can rejoice at the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden that is inspired by the 300-year-old Korakuen garden in Japan. This is followed by a visit to the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park as well as the Shinde Chhatri Temple.
