Just next to the Hadimba Temple lies this interesting museum that showcases a stellar collection of ancient and traditional heritage of the state. It was established in 1998 and some of its exhibits include scale-sized models of temples and forts in and around Kullu Valley, along with displays that include traditional textiles, garments and jewellery, furniture, architectural wood carving, dance masks and masks representing devtas (religious deities), religious relics and indigenous musical instruments. The museum not only helps preserve the traditional arts and ways of life but also creates awareness about the state's dwindling heritage and customs. This is as good a place for tourists as for historians and scholars who are eager to learn more about the area.
