Situated in the beautiful and verdant Devangana valley, Pampapur is only 5 km from Chitrakoot, and can therefore be visited on a day trip from here. There are several sacred caves related to Lord Rama here, making it an important religious site for devotees of the lord. The caves are rugged, dating back several centuries, and will keep history buffs occupied for a while. Photographers will find plenty to capture in Pampapur, and nature lovers will feel right at home.

It may be a small, unassuming place, but it is chockfull of character, enthralling visitors all year round. It takes anywhere between two to four hours to explore Pampapur in its entirety, so ensure you have enough time on your hands when you visit.
