Beaches to Visit

  • Anjuna Beach - Fluorescent painted palm trees and infamous full moon parties make up the mood of Anjuna. Conquer the Chapora Fort or shop for cheap goodies at the flea market on Wednesdays. Anjuna is all about calm shores, music and a vibrant lifestyle…the perfect hippie escape!

  • Baga Beach – An extension of the wooded headland of Calangute, Baga is the ideal beach to watch the sun go down in isolation. Bite into a scrumptious coastal meal or race through the tranquil waters on a jet ski.

  • Bogmolo Beach – The former fishing village with coconut trees, sandy beaches and redbrick huts has turned into a mega tourist hub. The perfect escape from all the rush, Bogmolo is renowned for its non-crowded beaches.

  • Calangute Beach - Goa 's busiest and most commercialised resort. During the 70's and 80's this peaceful fishing village became the favourite haunt of the hippies.

  • Cavelosim Beach - last major settlement in southwest Salcete, visit to Mabor, South Goa largest, and most obtrusive, package tourist enclave.

  • Chapora Beach - A lot busier than most North coast villages Chapora Beach has palm-fringed bays and secluded coconut groves . Leave back your munadne urban schdules as you sip on some fine juices and watch the surf shampooing the shores.

  • Condolim Beach – If you are heading North do not forget to spend a night or two at Condolim. Cheap lodging, mouth-watering food and clean beaches-the perfect lam from the daily grind.

  • Dona Paula – The place is named after the daughter of a Viceroy in colonial India who jumped off a cliff due to a failed love affair. Spooky stories, placid waters and beach sports make Don Paula a tourist haunt.

  • Pololem Beach – Not far from the Karnataka border is situated the serene Palolem beach with a crescent shaped bay, swaying curtain of coconut palms, and beautiful beach huts. The n orthern headland has small resplendent beaches, which can be accessed through boats. Avoid stepping out on Saturdays unless you love partying with the picnickers swarming the beach.

  • Vagatore Beach - Get a glimpse of the charming Portuguese bungalows or laze around in the white sand beaches in Vagatore.
