Karthigai Deepam:
Karthigai Deepam is celebrated for 10 days during which every day, in the morning and night, Lord Arunachaleswara is taken out in a procession.
Arudhra Darisanam:
Held in the month of Margazhi (December 15 through January 15) to celebrate the cosmic dance of Shiva.
Tiruvoodal Festival:
An enactment of a mock quarrel between Annamalaiyaar and
Unnamulai Amman in the presence of Sundaramoorthy Nayanar in the
Tiruvoodal street, a street that has been earmarked for this annual
event.
In the month of Maasi (February 15 through March 15) Shiva is crowned
as the king in the absence of a royal heir to king Ballala of the
Hoysala dynasty (an early 14 century ruler) whose statue adorns the
Vallala Gopuram.
Thai Poosam Festival:
Occurs in the month of Thai (January 15 through February 15) is also of great significance.
