Excursions
Achalgarh (10 km): A fort built by Rana Kumbha in the 14th century, with the Achaliswar Mahadev Temple and Kantinath Jain Temple.
Gurushikhar (15 km): At 1720 m, this is the highest point on the mount.
Ambaji (Gujrat) (50 km): A very popular temple dedicated to Amba-Mata which attracts a large number of devotees. Darshan Timings: 7 to 10.30 am; 1 to 3 pm; 4 to 7 pm.
Palanpur (79 km): A former princely state ruled by the Nawabs, Palanpur is today
known for its perfumeries and is a source of manpower for India’s diamond cutting industry. The Palace of the Nawab and the Balaram Mahadev Temple, 12 km from Palanpur, are worth visiting. Ranakpur (193 Km via Sirohi and Falna): Beautifully sculptured Jain temples mark the glory of this place. The main temple, known as the Chaumukha Temple, is dedicated to Adinathji and was built in
