Solang Valley (13 km)
It is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang
valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks.
It has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute has installed a
ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guesthouse of
the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few
hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organised here.
Training in skiing is imparted at this place.
Rahla Falls (14 km)
The beautiful Rahalla falls are located at an altitude of 2500m.
Kothi Kothi (12km)
A picturesque village the place has a thrilling view of the deep gorge through which the Beas swiftly races.
Bijli Mahadev Shrine
Located at an altitude of 2,460 meters, Bijli Mahadev Temple, 11km from Kullu, is the shrine of Lord Shiva, the temple is so named because according to the belief of the people the 20-meter high staff inside the temple gains blessings from the heavens in the form of lightning (Bijli).
Rohtang Pass (50 km)
Located 50 km from Manali, the Rohtang Pass is the gateway to Lahaul
Spiti. Located at an altitude of 4111 m on the highway, Rohtang Pass is
one of the top travel attractions of Manali. A paradise for adventure
sports enthusiasts; one can visit the Beas Kund and Dasohar Lake. The
Beas River originates from Beas Kund.
Keylong
Located at an altitude of 3350 m, Keylong is the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. The beauty of the region beggars description. Rudyard Kipling said of the region "Surely the God live here this no place for men." The route to Lahaul takes a traveler over Rohtang Pass, Koksar (1st village of Lahaul) Sissu, Gondla and crossing the river Chandra Bhaga at Tandi.
