Pratapgadh (24 km):
The famous and formidable Pratapgadh fort located on a hilltop was rebuilt and redesigned in the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj after he brought Mahabaleshwar and Jaoli under his control. The fort is home to a temple of goddess Bhavani.

Among Chhatrapati Shivaji’s formidable forts, Raigad served as the capital of great Maratha ruler from 1664 to 1680.
