The major craft items that are being produced by the local community are from bamboo and Babui grass, a particular variety of long grass cultivated and produced in the area. Several items, both for decorative and utility purposes, are churned out with great enthusiasm. The artistic inclinations of the tribals are also reflected in the exterior facades and interior walls of their houses.
The ethnically designed houses of the tribals are aesthetically colored in tones of white, black and ochre, and adorned with elaborate motifs. Colours are made from a particular type of earth quarried from forest. At times, other substances like charcoal powder, ash collected from under the cooking pots etc. are mixed to bring out an ingenious shade
