Anegundi is located in the state of Karnataka and is at a distance of 5 km from the historical site of Hampi. It is situated on the northern bank of the Tungabhadra river.
BY AIR: Take a flight to Bellary -Torangallu from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. The drive from Bellary to Anegundi is approx. 35 km
BY ROAD: The 40 km road from Hospet crosses the Tungabhadra river at Kampli in Bellary District, carrying bus-borne domestic pilgrims from north of India to the site. Travelers can also connect by road from Goa via Dharwar, Hubli, Gadag and Koppal on NH-63.
Government-operated buses ply regularly from Hospet.
BY TRAIN: The nearest train station is at Hospet, 18 Kms from Anegundi, which is connected to Bangalore, Bijapur, Hubli etc. Disembark at Hospet and hire a rickshaw or a taxi to Talawarghatta, cross the river Tungabhadra by a coracle (traditional boat), to reach Anegundi.
